Holding the progressive centre
Labour faces challenges on the right from Reform and the left from the Greens. These smaller parties might win, but even where they do not, they might pull votes from us and cause us to lose.
We will be discussing the practicalities of campaigning where the smaller parties are posing a threat to the labour party.

Fighting the smaller parties
Recognising the rising popularity of the smaller parties in the South West Region, the Green Party in Bristol and Reform along the south coast, we discussed the threat that they pose to the Labour Party and what campaigners might do to face into it.

Labour North West Regional Conference 2024
We attended the North West Labour Regional Conference to meet people and build our network.

Turning the Rising Green Tide
The Green Party are currently riding a wave of successes on the local and parliamentary level, often taking seats from the Labour Party in the process.
Their populist tactics target our supporters, to our detriment in some places, but our successes in Brighton show this can be reversed.
We discussed how to face into and defeat this threat, not just in terms of climate action, but through wider politics too.
